EVER BEEN TO AN EVENT WITH NO EMCEE?

Ya, me too.

Sadly, most Meeting Planners and Event Hosts put having an Emcee on the BOTTOM of their list of event priorities, which in my opinion is a HUGE MISTAKE!

But why? You asked.

Let me explain…

Here are 3 reasons your next event MUST have an Emcee:

1) YOUR EVENT WILL BE ON TIME: First and foremost, NO ONE likes events that start and end LATE, NO ONE! Well maybe a few shuffling in w/ one eye open due to a late night after party, but the majority of event attendees EXPECT promptness.

An event that starts late, almost always ENDS LATE, which also means frustrated, disconnected, tired attendees that may want a cocktail or may want to call it night.

An Emcee assures that the event is kicked off on time, EVEN IF THE FIRST SPEAKER IS LATE! Why because a good Emcee can help kill time until the first or next speaker up.

2) AUDIENCE INTERACTION

Having an Emcee for your event means that you have the opportunity to have a real live human interacting with your audience before and during the event.

One of my favorite things to do as an Emcee is LIVE “takeaways” from the audience. I’ll kick the day off by doing that and also the after lunch session as well. Attendees absolutely LOVE and it gives them an opportunity to be in “the spotlight” which enriches their experience just that much more.

3) CONTENT! CONTENT! CONTENT!

In my opinion, a good Emcee has a good online following and can help contribute and support the events social media strategy by interacting with attendees before, during and after daily sessions.

People LOVE when you read their tweet from stage!

There are far more than 3 reasons you need a GREAT Emcee at your next event, but these are the top 3 that come to mind when I’m discussing the topic of “Emcee vs No Emcee”.
